This is always the food festival that I miss no matter how prepared I am. Well, It's on my calendar for this weekend and it's happening in Downtown Boise.

The 37th Annual Greek Food Festival opens Friday on the corner of 27th & Bannock in Boise and runs through Saturday night.

Expect streets to be shut down, live music screaming from downtown Boise and the smells of Greek's finest scents steering its way into your taste buds! The Annual Greek Festival will begin Friday night at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church on the corner of 27th & Bannock.

Festivities begin at 11:00 a.m. and run till 9:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. There will be live music that features Greek's finest sounds, dancers, Grecian imports, pastries, food to go including church tours.

SOUVLAKI (Marinated Pork or Chicken on a Skewer with Greek Pilafi- Greek style rice.

GREEK GYROS (Gyro Meat on Pita with Lettuce, Tomato & Housemade Tzatziki)

VEGGIE GYROS (Pita Stuffed with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and Housemade Tzatziki)

PASTITSIO (Macaroni Layered with Cheese & Meat)

SPANAKOPITA (Spinach & Feta Cheese Triangles wrapped in Filo Dough)

DOLMATHES (Grape Leaves Stuffed with Meat, Rice, and Spices)

GREEK PILAFI (Greek-Style Rice)
