A Boise Pancake Feed Is Fueling a Heartfelt Community Fight

When there's a need, there's a way. That is just the consistent way about things in the Treasure Valley and it is what makes living in this place so special.

This week--there's a need, and a group of people helping make sure there's a way.

As we have shared before, a local baker, Aaron Hudson, has been battling cancer for some time now. Owning and operating a small family business is hard enough--and the Hudsons have truly been warriors through it all over the past couple of years.

Recently, news broke that another local family is going through difficult (and expensive) health challenges. The Whalens--who own and operate popular local business, Perspire Sauna Studio, have also found themselves seeking help.

Help is on the way--for both families--and the community has responded in a BIG way.

Organized by a local lifestyle influencer and the good folks at Max & Louie's in Garden City, a full blown pancake feed is organized (and the pancakes look delicious, by the way) for this Sunday, February 1st, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 pm.

The Instagram page shared the following details:

CASH ONLY - $10 gets you 3 pancakes / either chocolate chip or plain with an option to be topped with blueberries - you can certainly pay more as an additional donation - all cash collected this day will be split evenly between both families. We want to raise as much money as possible for the treatment these families are having to pay out of pocket for and desperately need. We will be there with a jar for additional donations as well and hope to see you there!

The response from the community has been INSANE and we can't wait to join the efforts.
