Boise Pride Announces Spooky ‘Priday The 13th’ Fundraising Party
Each June across the globe, 'Pride Month' is celebrated by groups, companies, allies, and members of the LGBTQ+ community to celebrate love, acceptance, and progress in our society. Here in Boise, while Pride Month is going on--many anxiously await September, the month in which Boise celebrates its own pride festival in downtown Boise. Just shy of a month ago, Boise Pride Festival celebrated its 34th year here in the Treasure Valley with a massive crowd and 3-day festival that included both national and local performers.
Now, Boise Pride Festival is firing up another party--this time, with hopes of fundraising for youth right herein the community.
'Priday The 13th' as it has been dubbed, will be a night of fun, live music, performances, and a packed dance floor in the city's newest and most plush concert venue--Treefort Music Hall.
As the online Facebook event states:
Only for the bravest souls, this Halloween party promises blood-curdling thrills as you don your most cursed costumes and enter the twisted Costume Contest, all while supporting a great cause – the Local LGBTQ+ Youth. Beware, local Dragula performers will cast their macabre spells, and a monstrous national talent will soon be revealed, sending shivers down your spine. It's a night of bone-chilling horrors, ghastly delights, and fundraising for a great cause.
The 18+ event will aim to raise funds for resources and events that can be put towards LGBTQ+ youth in own own community, right here in the Treasure Valley. Certainly, our adult community and allies can come together and have fun for a great cause!
Tickets are on sale now and start at just $20 to get in.
