In a year where seemingly everything has been canceled, Boise Pride Festival organizers announced this week that there WILL be a festival during their re-scheduled weekend--virtually.

Each year, Boise Pride Festival brings together thousand from around the State of Idaho to celebrate love, equality, and inclusivity. Over the years, Boise Pride has grown from a gathering in Ann Morrison Park to a festival that takes over the entirety of downtown Boise. If you drive up the streets of downtown, you will see pride flags lining the streets on light posts as June, nationally, is Pride Month.

In a press release given from the organization, "Power In Progress" will be this years theme and there will be virtual events held for viewers to enjoy and share online.

In my conversations with Boise Pride, there is still a window of opportunity for some in-person, socially distanced events but those have yet to be determined. The parade, park festival, and mass-gatherings, however, will not happen.
