With a busy weekend behind us you may have missed some of many events going on in the Treasure Valley. Boise Pride Festival was in Ann Morrison along with Hyde Park Street Fair and Boise State University hosting their second home game of the season. Drag shows can be just as entertaining, whether it's your first or your one hundredth. If you were a part of this event or even just attended, one can see there’re plenty of games and entertainment for everyone.
Sometimes pride festivals can get a bad wrap because of the politics that can get involved, but just like any other festivals it’s a great opportunity to go out and dress up and try an outfit you’ve been working on. This is an important event to our community because it does create a safe environment for the LGBTQ community and supports local businesses just like any other festival.
The event's turnout proves how accepting Ada county can be as thousands attended the Boise Pride Festival in our local park.
Are you a fan of art or have art to share? Festivals are great places to meet and see new artists in your local area. There are layers of different artists attending Pride Festivals, and attending can maybe spark a new creative twist to a project.
It can be hard to step out of your comfort zone, especially to an event like this. It’s nice to have your own opinions and that’s exactly what this event is all about, it truly represents the freedom we have in our country. Boise Pride Festival welcomes everyone with open arms. This 3-day event had live music for all of its days and followed by a parade on the last day.
