Boise is not unfamiliar with being left out of tour dates. Often everyone is left with a small feeling of disappointment when an artist leaves Boise or anywhere near there out of their list of tour dates.

This especially hurts when it comes from artists that you know have come to our area in the past. Kelsey Ballerini infamously decided not to come back to Boise after having a bracelet thrown at her face the last time she was here. Everyone was heartbroken yet unsurprised by this decision on her part.

One that did shock us however was Grace O'Malley who had come just a few months prior and absolutely raved about it on her podcast. She was ecstatic about "The Boise Boys" and said that she had an amazing time here. So why then would she not come back, we do not know.

They were a very popular band.

While all of these instances have been unfortunate nothing compares to the absolute heartbreak that ripped through Boise these past 24 hours. Imagine your favorite band has announced a show and you've been waiting to go and then all of the sudden the week before it is canceled.

Well that's exactly what happened this week but on a much higher scale. Months ago Boise residents were estatic about the Band COIN coming to Boise to perform a show. Tickets have been selling like crazy for months and the show was supposed to be next week. Well all of those hopes and dreams have been cut short as the band took to Instagram just yesterday to announce that they are breaking up. So now COIN no longer exists and sadly the show next week will not be taking place.
