Just 3 Home Games Remain in ‘Messy’ Boise State Basketball Season
It has been a YEAR for Boise State basketball and while the season is winding down, now more than ever, the team could use its fans to back it up.
The season started off with a bang--but not necessarily a great one. The Broncos hosted a Division II program from Hawaii that plays out of a strip mall and lost. With high hopes for the season, a season opening loss that brutal really heart the Broncos' stock out of the gate.
There have been 'season ups', such as the Broncos knocking off a difficult and well-known St. Mary's team in Idaho Falls. And plenty of downs, such as getting beat at home by Utah State--there the Aggies had, arguably, a stronger fan base that our own Broncos at home.
Now, five games remain and three of those are at home.
While dreams of March Madness are feeling distant, there's still a chance but these games have got to be won.
The Broncos were projected to finish in the top of the Mountain West Conference this year, with a highly touted roster--they currently rank seventh.
Winning the season out could maybe have them in a distant bubble conversation but right now, this team needs synergy, support, and momentum. Remember, whichever team wins the Mountain West Conference tournament will get that automatic guarantee into March Madness. Regular season wins and losses won't mean a thing.
Let's get Boise State on a roll and ready to win in Las Vegas!
Up next? Boise State takes on San Jose State, a game they should win, at home on Saturday, February 21st at 2:00 p.m.
