Boise State and Bowl Season: Potato Bound?
It's time we be honest with ourselves, Boise State fans: there's nothing impressive about the Idaho Potato Bowl.
YES: it's on the blue
YES: we love out Idaho potatoes
YES: a bowl game is a bowl game
but, no...there's nothing about this bowl game that feels exciting, especially when it comes to seeing our hometown team play in it. However, with a two-loss Boise State team, it's looking all the more likely this year.
Had UCF, the top-ranked Non-power 5 conference team lost last night...Boise State stood a real chance at playing in a bigger bowl. Unfortunately, UCF won with authority. Now, the experts have us playing in some mediocre bowl games despite the national rankings.
Two bowl projections stand for Boise State:
- Boise State vs Western Michigan at the Idaho Potato Bowl
- Boise State vs Army in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl (Ft. Worth, TX)
