If you can believe it, Boise State's football season is already underway. After months of no football, the team is now geared up and ready to prove themselves in a world without Ashton Jeanty.

So far, it's been rough.

After a year of dominance on the ground thanks to Ashton Jeanty, Boise State is now forced to find new ways to win. Did Jeanty do ALL of the work last season? Absolutely not--it takes a team.  Did he carry a large load? Certainly.

It showed, in South Florida where Boise State not only lost--but got curb stomped.

Take a look at just a small sampling of what people are saying about Boise State after the brutal season opening loss

It was a very disappointing way to start the season!

Usually, losing one game, no matter how painful, is seen as 'human' and a part of 'the process'.  Apparently, Boise State fans feel that the team should not and can not lose.  After dropping one game, the fanbase is up in arms and complaining about the team.

Up ahead? A must win game--on The Blue against Eastern Washington.

Casual football fans may see no issue with the Division II school but football fans know that Eastern Washington is typically one of the best programs in Division II, has contended for national championships, and is fully capable of winning. By the way, it's not a far trip for the team, coming down from Cheney--just minutes outside of Spokane, Washington.

Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Alberstons Stadium.

Experts called the road game in Florida a 'must win', but with an 0-1 record, this 'must win' seems far more crucial.

Boise State's Most Underappreciated Star

Boise State seems to mean "football" for most, right? On a national stage, after all, it's the blue turf and the success that the Broncos have had on it that made the university a household name. What happens on the hardwood, however, is far from appreciated at the level that it should be. Leon Rice came to Boise State as a blessing from one of the most powerful basketball programs in the nation: Gonzaga University. Now, the winningest basketball coach in the history of the school seems to take immediate heat if the Broncos aren't in the Final Four. Spoiled by wins on the football field, fans seem to expect the same of the basketball program but when the investment in basketball is so much less than football--can you really have these types of expectations!?
