Boise State football has had their fair share of "troubles" this season but after winning three games in a row, the team (and the fans) are feeling a little bit better about it all. Frankly, this season has been unlike any other in recent history. An awful start to the season, a loss to UTEP (we are still trying to figure out what a UTEP is), the firing of an offensive coordinator mid-season and a starting quarterback LITERALLY walked from the team.

Whoa.

Now, Boise State is on the mend--at least for now--and they're getting noticed. The Broncos are definitely accustomed to being in the spotlight and although you could argue they've been in it this year for all of the wrong reasons, they are a little attention starved.

Boise State fans know that the Boise State football team is used to being RANKED and that might not be the case now--but ONE coach saw enough in them to cast a vote in their favor. That's a step in the right direction?

While the AP Top 25 has no sign of Boise State anywhere near it--or any team in the Mountain West Conference for that matter--the coaches poll does.

Listed in VERY last place among "others receiving votes" in the Coaches Poll? Boise State. One single vote cast for the Broncos to be ranked, has them on the radar.

Coaches that vote in these polls are selected at random and no, Andy Avalos isn't on the panel--so there's no telling who voted for them. However, somebody respected the team enough to vote for Boise State and THAT has to feel good!

On November 5th, BYU will be on The Blue--in what is sure to be the season's most anticipated game. That win might just crack them into the Top 25.
