It's finally here and it is more important now, than anyone could have imagine: the final home game for Boise State men's basketball of the entire season. There are no exceptions, no second chances, no conference tournament games--it call ends at ExtraMile Arena, tonight: February 28th.

It's fair to say that the success Boise State has seen on the basketball court over the last two seasons has actually been a little more exciting than on the football field. While the football team continues to try and rebuild greatness, we're seeing the basketball team's hard work come to fruition--they're simply getting it done.

After dropping a tough loss on the road to San Jose State last week, the team has double the redemption to achieve: part for the team going into March and the elephant in the room: revenge on a ranked San Diego State team that totally smacked them when they last played, winning by 20 points.

Boise State, following their loss to a San Jose State team that is poorly ranked, is now back on "the bubble" for March. If this team wants to make it to the 'Big Dance' again this year, despite the fact that they have a great record, they're going to need to win some basketball games down the stretch--tonight against San Diego State and in the conference tournament.

Hoping to see the Broncos in action? Good luck-- the game is SOLD OUT and that's an awfully promising sign for the community's support of this team.

Tip-Off is at 7pm.

Let's take a look at the fearless leader of Boise State's basketball team, who we feel, frankly, is the university's most under-appreciated star: Leon Rice!

Boise State's Most Underappreciated Star

Boise State seems to mean "football" for most, right? On a national stage, after all, it's the blue turf and the success that the Broncos have had on it that made the university a household name. What happens on the hardwood, however, is far from appreciated at the level that it should be. Leon Rice came to Boise State as a blessing from one of the most powerful basketball programs in the nation: Gonzaga University. Now, the winningest basketball coach in the history of the school seems to take immediate heat if the Broncos aren't in the Final Four. Spoiled by wins on the football field, fans seem to expect the same of the basketball program but when the investment in basketball is so much less than football--can you really have these types of expectations!?

This Former Nampa Basketball Star is ESPN's Darling

It's not often that you see Sports Center re-run a single play as often as they did last night. The good folks at ESPN could not get enough of the dominating performance by one particular Texas Tech player who left it all on the court. His team defeated Baylor-- the defending National Champion and the only remaining undefeated team in the country this season.
Plot twist, this player has some serious Idaho ties-- with NO offers out of High School, Adonis Arms played in Nampa at Northwest Nazarene University where he gained the skill set and the reputation to make his way up to the big time stage.
