It was a pretty crazy game to watch last night as Boise State nearly upset the tenth-ranked Nevada Wolfpack at Taco Bell Arena.

After a really bumpy start to their season, it seemed like Leon Rice got his team back into a stride--winning three games in a row and being undefeated in conference play. Of course, the expected star of the Mountain West Conference this season, the Nevada Wolfpack, were supposed to march into Boise and dominate. On national television and in front of a packed Taco Bell Arena, the Broncos gave Nevada a run for their money and in my mind--should have won.

While up by two with under 50 seconds remaining, a miracle 3-pointer was drained by Nevada and Boise State just couldn't sink a basket, losing by just one-point. To me, the fact that Boise State showed they could keep up was a statement in itself.

Boise State takes on Fresno State on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. --another huge MWC match up.
