Boise State had a very successful past couple of season when it comes to the Broncos in the NFL draft. Ashton Jeanty was the highest Boise State NFL draft in history coming in at the 6th pick overall. Following that Ahmed Hassanein was drafted to the NFL and to the Detroit Lions. Then this past season Kage Casey was drafted to the Denver Broncos.

Boise State's NFL Draft Success Continues

Now the fun for the Boise State Broncos continues as former Boise State tight end, Matt Lauter gets some exciting news.

Boise State's Matt Lauter declared for the NFL draft last season and while he was hoping to be drafted he ended up getting signed as an undrafted free agent to the Las Vegas Raiders. That was definitely exciting for Boise State fans because it meant a potential reunion between Matt Lauter and Ashton Jeanty.

Former Boise State Tight End Matt Lauter Signs With the Vikings

Unfortunately Matt Lauter was released by the Raiders but that didn't mean the end of his NFL journey. He has officially signed with the Minnesota Vikings as of yesterday. Even though this doesn't mean he has officially made the Vikings official roster it's still a big step in the right direction.

Could Matt Lauter Be the Next Boise State Bronco to Make It in the NFL?

We hope this could mean a potential future for Matt Lauter in the NFL and it's just the beginning of another Boise State Bronco success story.
