BOISE...STATE! College football is just weeks away and the Boise State Bronco buzz is in full swing with latest preseason rankings. Where does BSU rank? Are they gonna be good this year?

You'll be happy to know that the Broncos are coming in at #18 and are unanimously favored to win the Mountain West Conference.

I'm no analytical sports announcer and have no idea about stats. That said, I'm hearing nothing but great things regarding this year's team. You might also be hearing some talk regarding big recruits that have committed to BSU for next year. Regardless, there seems to be some great things happening with the Broncos this year.

What the Professional Analysts are Saying

The pros seemed to be excited about BSU's returning class with 10 on defense that will start. Brett Rypien will come back for his final year as quarterback for the Broncos. All of the people I've talked to seem to think Brett is going to lead the Broncos along with a very stout defense to represent the power 5 in the New Year's Six.

My amateur read at this point. The Broncos come off a dominant bowl win over the Oregon Duck 38-28. The schedule looks somewhat difficult yo! Tough road games including a big one against Oklahoma State. You have Troy on the road including Wyoming, Nevada, and Air Force.  Click Schedule. More on the full list of rankings HERE.
