Four games into the college football season and there have been plenty of national and local headlines. The infamous Coach Prime has turned around the University of Colorado quicker than anyone could have expected--even despite the brutal loss last week at Oregon. Duke, a notorious basketball school has proven they belong among the best on the football field now.

What about here in Idaho?

The Vandals who have been laughed at for years in recent history defeated Nevada in an unthinkable win and are 3-1 leading the Big Sky Conference. Now here in Boise, the Boise State Broncos are struggling--with a 2-2 record and a very tough road game ahead.

Long time Bronco fans are used to start the season ranked, being ranked by now, or at least being in the national conversation. This year--if the Broncos are in a conversation it isn't the most positive.  The Mountain West's perennial power is struggling--and for a Group of 5 team, even just two losses can't be an option if you're trying to make a run at the Fiesta Bowl or more.

Who's in the spotlight these days? A team that knows all about battling with Boise: Fresno State.

The Bulldogs have been a long time rival in Boise and now, they're once again proving to be the better team in the conference. The team is 4-0 so far and have cracked into the Top 25 rankings--something that Boise State fans have to be jealous of. The program's consistency is getting scary--and Boise State is nowhere near the Top 25 Ranking conversation.

This season, Boise State will be taking on the road--November 4th IN Fresno and we don't expect it will be pretty if the Broncos can't get things dialed in defensively.

One battle at a time, however.

Boise State plays Memphis this Saturday at 2:00p.m. on the road.
