News that broke early Sunday morning left many scratching their heads in Boise. What on earth was going on along State Street at a local strip club?

Satin Dolls, an 18+ establishment that features erotic dancing, had a major police presence in the very early hours of Sunday morning. The business does not serve alcohol, so they're open until 4:00 a.m. for late night guests.

The kind of 'excitement' that late-night customers may seek at Satin Dolls is not the same kind of excitement that went down this weekend.

Local crime groups on social media were quick to posting photos of police swarming the business.

By Sunday afternoon, the Boise Police Department released a statement on the incident:

On February 1, 2026, around 4:15 a.m. Boise Police officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 4300 block of West State Street. Upon arrival, officers found evidence that a business in the area had been struck by gunfire. Officers secured the scene and confirmed that there were no injuries to anyone inside or outside the building.  Shortly after the initial response, officers located a vehicle matching a description of the suspect’s vehicle traveling on State Street. When officers attempted a traffic stop, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. A short time later, officers located the vehicle after it crashed near North Lander Street and West Glendale Street. Believing the occupants to likely be armed, officers carefully approached the vehicle and safely took three occupants into custody.

At this time, we really have no idea why shots were fired or what on earth was going on at the local strip club that could have started any of this.

Taken into custody was 19-year-old Alexandra Lopez of Twin Falls, Idaho.
