Boise’s Most Iconic Event Seeks Your Best Photos From 2023

It graces the Treasure Valley one week a year and it seems that no matter the season, images and recaps of the iconic event are front and center in the City of Boise all year long. It's the Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic and it's arguably the most signature event that takes place in our area.

One of the very best things about this event? You don't need to "attend" to participate. While the balloons launch from Ann Morrison Park each morning in front of eager and early rising crowds, even workers from nearby offices, residents in area homes, and commuters on I-84 get to enjoy the balloons just but looking up!

With this years' event now behind us, event organizers are hoping that with a pretty great incentive, you can help them recap an amazing Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic.

A photo contest has been launched that anyone in the public can enter-- whether you're a pro or an iPhone Pro! The prize? A ride in a hot air balloon next year! Talk about a bucket list item!

This year, we will take submissions until Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 11:59pm MST. Event producers will then select the top 5 photos for each category. The top 5 from each category will then be posted to Facebook. The photo with the most number of "likes" for each category at the end of one week will win!
