I heard about this last week from Rachel who works at the Boys & Girls Club in Nampa. These workers get up extremely early to get into work and give back to local Treasure Valley families.

The Boys & Girls Clubs are currently offering meals during the 21-day stay-at-home order that Governor Brad Little approved last week. What does this mean?

We need to work from home and stay inside if possible. That also means almost everything is closed and this puts a major burden on working families that rely on schools to have their children. We see this a lot in the Summer when school is out and this is why organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs are so important for our community.

The Boys & Girls Clubs are currently offering free grab-and-go breakfast and lunch meals to anyone. I specifically asked how much it cost and the answer was a loud NOTHING. They went on to say that this even applies to families that have food in the house for the kids. The Boys & Girls Clubs understand we're being impacted by the coronavirus and that means we just don't know what's going to happen. Nobody is safe from losing their jobs at this point that means every penny counts. The Boys & Girls Clubs hopes to save you money on food so you can use it in other places.

The free meals will last throughout the 21 days Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at three locations for ages 1-18.
