The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has concluded that our election systems were indeed hacked in 2016. We now know if the Gem State fell victim.

Secretary of State Lawerence Denney confirmed late last week that hackers did not interfere with (nor did they even attempt to) Idaho's state and local elections in 2016. While it sounds like we're getting closer and closer to knowing exactly how and why the 2016 presidential election was tampered with (presumably by the Russians), at least we know our elected officials in Idaho earned their places in a legit manner.

DHS says that overall, 21 states were targeted via voter registration systems in last year's election. That includes our neighbors in Oregon, California, North Dakota, and numerous other states.
