The City of Eagle Parks and Recreation Department is bringing back another year of Yappy Hour starting in April. Yappy hour is just like happy hour except your pup tags along with you to socialize with their fur-friends while you enjoy some adult beverages with yours.

Socialization for your dog and teaching them how to appropriately interact with other animals and people has many long-term benefits. It prepares them for all types of different encounters in the future. A well socialized dog means a happy dog and a happy owner. Yappy Hour is the prefect space to accomplish this!

Yappy Hour in Eagle is set to happen on the first Tuesday of every month for the next six months so you and your dog will have plenty of opportunities to mix and mingle. The first Yappy Hour of 2021 is on April 6th at Reid W. Merrill Sr. Community Park from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Please note though that this location is subject to change depending on the construction progress of the Eagle Dog Park, which is actually something that Eagle residents (and their four-legged friends) have been asking for for many years now!

In addition to Yappy Hour once a month, the pups in Eagle will soon have something else to enjoy for themselves with their very own new park. That dog park will include small and large dog enclosures, a gated dog leashing/unleashing area, a dog waste disposal station, and a short extension of the existing parking lot in the area.
