Ahh, the woo girl. She screams, she loves a White Claw, and LOVES a bike bar. She screams, you hear her from block away, and now many are saying, after the meeting held among Boise City Council members last night, that this could be the end of the Woo Girl.

A few months ago, I shared with you that Bike Bars in downtown Boise as we know them could be changing significantly. If you've ever been downtown when the weather is nice I guarantee that you have seen one of these peddling along, with 8-12 peddlers cheering and drinking from red solo cups. Often times, they try and get you to high five them (a popular bike bar drinking game) and even more often, they're significantly slowing down traffic. Safety concerns and many citizen and businesses complaints have lead Boise City Council to really examine the Bike Bars.

After a unanimous vote-- it's official, these things are going to be changing.

The City of Boise has banned alcohol ON bike bars and will also limit music volumes coming from them. They will also not be able to operate after 10:30 p.m.

If you've ever been on a bike bar, we can only assume that now the only purpose of peddling on one will be to visit bars and restaurants. While that was an option to grab a drink before--now, it's the only option since no alcohol can be on board. Will spending more time in bars in order to drink with friends kill the vibe of bike bars? Only time will tell.

How do you feel about the changes? One thing is for sure: this could be the end of the woo girl.
