Nampa almost always plans their 4th of July celebration on the Wednesday before the holiday to avoid conflicting with other festivities in the area. That means tonight is the God and Country Festival at the Ford Idaho Center! The non-denominational, family friendly event is FREE to everyone who wants to attend!
The festival includes entertainment from Christian artists including, Mac Powell from Third Day and Ryan Stevenson. The Stunt Dudes will also be there do tie together the Gospel with BMX bike demonstrations. Come for food, fellowship, military appreciation and civic awards.
Plus, the festival's also long been known as the absolute biggest fireworks display in the Treasure Valley. Fireworks America - Idaho started setting up the display last night. The fireworks will launch following Mac Powell's set.
Want to bring the fam? Gates at the Idaho Center open at 4:30 p.m. There's no entry fee, but parking at the Idaho Center does cost $5 a car. They encourage you to bring a low-back lawn chair or blanket to sit on if you don't want to sit in the bleachers in the amphitheater.
You can't bring any outside food or beverages in, but they will allow you to bring an empty water bottle to fill once you're inside the Ford Idaho Center grounds!
Can't make it tonight? Then get ready for the City of Boise Fireworks on Tuesday night. They'll be shot off from their new home at Expo Idaho.
