I love Boise and the great quality of life that it offers but today was "one of those days" I woke up extra early since I had at 8am meeting and I knew the commute was going to be challenging due to the expected snow and ice on the Boise roads. I got ready and headed out... or so I thought...You see when I attempted to unlock my car I quickly found out that my car door was frozen shut and so was the lock! I scrambled to unlock the door to no avail. After 10 minutes of struggling with the door I realized it was a lost cause and that I needed to move on to plan B. I started my truck and thought I know this vehicle is not ideal in the snow but I have to make it to this meeting. Five minutes later I'm on the road and while on a straightaway I hit an ice patch and the truck drifted onto the on coming traffic lanes luckily I was able to get it under control without ending up in a ditch or in a head on collision. Needless to say traffic was horrible and I missed my meeting. Talk about getting started on the wrong foot. I wish I could tell you that things got better, my day was extremely frustrating and when it finally ended I got in the truck and I headed home. Two blocks away from the gas station I ran out of gas. It was cold, I was stranded and I was about to lose my mind but before I could complain this thought came to mind... Enjoy today, tomorrow is not promised... A long time ago I learned that no matter how bad things are they can always be worse, so don't complain because there are people who have real problems. The universe decided I needed a reminder today and I'm grateful. Thank You.

Enjoy today, tomorrow is not promised...
