ESPN Honors Idaho High School; Named Top 5 Nationally
The secret is out on Idaho and whether that's for better or for worse--there is no denying it. One thing that Idahoans undeniably love more than anything else, however? It's when our great State of Idaho is recognized for positive reasons that residents can't help but jump up and down, scream, and brag to all of their friends.
Well, it's time to brag again, Idaho--because major sports network ESPN has named one Idaho high school among the top five in the entire nation. This is way too cool not to share!
Every year, the Special Olympics team up with ESPN to honor the top five schools in the nation for inclusive environments-- this year, Canyon Ridge High School in Twin Falls, Idaho, was named among those top five!
There are over 8,000 schools nationwide in the running that could have won--but Canyon Ridge met all ten standards of inclusion and received nomination from the Special Olympics of Idaho.
The school shared that they have about 50 unified sport and partner athletes that are consistently participants in sports programming at the school. The other winning schools were in Maryland, Texas, New Mexico, and North Dakota.
