ESPN Names Boise State Football Player “Top Playmaker” For 2025

Last season Boise State football took the internet by storm. More specifically a Boise State football player by the name of Ashton Jeanty. The all-star running back made a name for himself as one of the best running backs in college football history. Sadly, all good things must come to an end and that happened a couple of months ago when he was drafted to the NFL.

Everyone in Boise was buzzing to find out where he was going to end up and now we know he is a Raider! However it does make us sad that this officially means his Boise State career has come to an end because there is something truly special about Ashton playing for the broncos the past few seasons.

Luckily, there are other amazing Boise State players who will be returning for the 2025 season including Jayden Virgin-Morgan. 

Jayden Virgin-Morgan has been noted by ESPN to be one of the best players (non-quarterback) to look out for this year. He's had some great plays at his time at Boise State and that is expected to continue into the 2025 year.

Virgin-Morgan also plays defensive edge which was recently played by Ahmed Hassanein who just got drafted by the Detroit Lions in the 2025 NFL Draft. There is no shock that Hassanein will definitely be missed but it seems that Virgin-Morgan will definitely have the position covered.
