“Female Only” Parking Spots Popping Up In China

Compact parking spots. Handicap parking spots. Pretty normal things here in America.

In Chine, things are a little different. They're now introducing "Female Only" parking spots.

The spaces, designated by pink outlines, are 50% wider than a normal parking spot. Why? According to the director of the service area in which you can find the spots, female drivers are having issues parking or reversing into regular parking spots.

This is obviously causing outrage in China, from both men and women. I'm not so much outraged as I am jealous that we don't have pink parking spots here in the states. They don't have to be women-only, I just think it'd make for a great Instagram post if I could park in pink parking spots from now on.
