Following Canceled Concert, Rick Ross Announces New Idaho Show
It's the season for concerts and outdoor fun around the Treasure Valley. While activities never really stop around town, something about the sunny weather brings out some of the area's most favorite things.
One of the first concerts announced in early 2023 was a major hip hop show that was going to take place at the Ford Idaho Center. The concert, which was going to be headlined by hip hop artist Rick Ross, was canceled abruptly the week of the show with no real explanation.
We reached out to the Ford Idaho Center for comment and they let us know that if you purchased tickets from them--refunds are available. The concert promoter said that the show was "postponed" but nearly 3 months later--no new date has been announced. There was no official statement on what happened to the March 2023 show--however many assumed it wasn't selling tickets, as seating charts showed rows and rows of open seats.
Now, Rick Ross has announced that he will be coming to Idaho, after all. Folks in Boise are just going to need to take a drive.
We recently shared that Jay Leno would be doing a comedy routine at the Shoshone-Bannock Casino & Hotel. This just so happens to be the same place Rick Ross will be performing. This summer venue is popping off this year!
Rick Ross will be joined by 2 Chainz, Twista, and Travis Porter-- a rather random lineup for Southeastern Idaho--but they will be the featured concert after the casino's 5th annual car show!
This concert is set to take place on July 22nd and tickets start at just $36--which is a fraction of the price that they were being sold for in Nampa.
