Former Boise State Coach Has Viral Moment During Game [Video]

Boise State has produced some great players and coaches over the years. It is actually amazing to see just how many influential coaches and players come from the Boise State pedigree.

One of the many active coaches who found a start at Boise State just recently had quite the moment on national television.

Remember the name Justin Wilcox?

The former Boise State Defensive Coordinator worked under legendary Chris Petersen. Boise State lost only 4 games in his four years in Boise and had one of the best defenses in the country each of those years.

It is no surprise that Wilcox is now a head coach of his own--at Cal!

All eyes (and ears) were on Wilcox this past weekend...

Here's a look at the moment that took national TV and fans at the game, by surprise! 

When your fans can't get it together, perhaps they'll listen to the coach, best!

After Wilcox addressed the crowd, there were no further penalties against the student section. the good new for Cal was that the team went on to win against San Diego State and those penalties didn't end up crushing them after all. We're sure that the university will have measures in place to prevent this from happening again.

We certainly can't think of a time that a coach has borrowed the mic from an official in the middle of the game to address his fans--however, after two major penalties that were costing his team yards, we really can't say that we blame him!

Not far from Boise just a couple of years ago, Mark Few of Gonzaga University yelled at their student section for throwing trash--but he didn't have a microphone!
