Free Back To School Haircuts Offered in Nampa This Saturday
Believe it or not, summer is winding down quickly. After what has been one of the absolute best summers in memorable history across the Treasure Valley, temperatures are slowly dropping and soon, we won't be dying of heat every time we get in and out of our cars.
It's important for us to be realistic about summer, too. Not every kid is enjoying summertime the same. Many aren't hitting waterparks, taking big trips, going to concerts or frankly spending time in a home that is fit for their success. For many students in our area, school is their safe place.
No matter what kids in the Treasure Valley are or are not going through, each student: boy or girl, young or old, deserves to start the school year 'a step ahead' so that they can focus on success in the classroom without feeling as though they are less than any one of their peers.
For the third year in a row, a local effort called 'A Step Ahead' has been launched to bring access to FREE back to school haircuts for local kids of any grade.
So often students don't have the confidence in the classroom to even focus on what matters--and that should never be the case. It certainly shouldn't be the case on day 1 of the school year, either.
A Step Ahead will be taking place on Saturday, August 17th, at the Boys and Girls Club in Nampa (316 Stampede Dr, Nampa)!
Haircuts will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and will be provided by Paul Mitchell The School (both the Nampa and Boise locations).
Special thanks to the event sponsors: Boys & Girls Club of Nampa, Amalgamated Sugar Company, and the Treasure Valley Paul Mitchell The School locations.
