No matter which book in the series you are reading there is nothing better than Harry Potter in the winter. Everything from the scenery in all of the movies to the vibes all of the books have they definitely scream fall. It's also quite common to see people decorating their house with Christmas decorations and Harry Potter decorations seem to pop up as well.

Boise especially seems to be Harry Potter fanatics because just a couple of months ago there was a major Harry Potter event. It was no surprise that Wizard Encounter at the Boise Depot was such a hit in October. This annual event was perfect for anyone who was a die hard Harry Potter fan or even just someone who is a little bit interested in the movies and books. There's something truly magical about this event and now that winter magic is coming to the Treasure Valley.

The third annual Harry Potter Festival and Vendor Show + Yule Ball is making it's way to Expo Idaho this weekend. There will be over 50 vendors giving everyone the perfect opportunity to but some last-minute Christmas gifts as well as stocking stuffers for anyone in your lives who can use a little bit of magic.

The event is broken up into two parts the Festival and Vendor Show which is Saturday, December 14 from 10 am to 5 pm and the Yule Ball which is Saturday, December 14 from 6:30 am to 11:30 pm.

The entry fee is only $3 and kids 10 years and under get in for free. If you want to go to the Yule Ball it will be a separate event for an additional cost that will take place in the Western Building!
Check out these Harry Potter Houses to prepare you for the event!

Harry Potter Hogwarts Houses

Let's take a quick dive into each Hogwarts House and what they value and who their notable members are. Once we understand the Houses, it should be fairly easy for us to sort all of the Boise Music Festival artists into their assigned House.
