"I thought I walked into the wrong State--I was told that Idaho was a conservative state" said Vermont's Senator, Bernie Sanders, when he last spoke in the Treasure Valley.

Now, it's been announced that Bernie Sanders will be returning to the Gem State--as fired up as ever--to bring his 'Fighting Oligarchy' Tour to Idaho.

The former presidential candidate visited Boise and spoke to a sold out crowd at ExtraMile Arena in 2016. At the time, Sanders was the leading Democratic candidate -- going back and forth with Hillary Clinton and scaring many Donald Trump supporters who believed Sanders' populism would have given Trump a run for his money.

While Sanders was eventually defeated, narrowly, by Hillary Clinton for the nomination on the Democratic ticket--he has remained one of the most consistent and popular voices for the working class--fighting greed and advocating for unity.

In his announcement made via email to subscribers--Bernie Sanders' organizers said:

From the very beginning, our progressive movement has been about bringing people together in solidarity and uniting around an agenda that works for ALL of us, not just the wealthy and powerful.  That's why Bernie is headed to Nampa, and it's why we're really hoping you'll join him.

Expect Bernie Sanders to fill up the Ford Idaho Center--despite being in the middle of a 'Red State'.

Sander's has always been a peculiar candidate-- while he ran on the Democratic ticket, he is technically an Independent, representing the State of Vermont. Sander's is all for the Second Amendment and even garnered an endorsement from Joe Rogan in 2016--who in 2024 endorsed Trump.

The Rally is set for Monday, April 14th with doors opening at 3:30 p.m. and speaking beginning at 6:00 p.m. -- all at the Ford Idaho Center.

Over the last several weeks, Sanders has been touring with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on a tour titled 'Fighting Oligarchy' -- you can learn more about the tour, HERE
