It has been a hectic weekend in America--and amid the tragedy many have watched a sense of unity arise for the first time in what feels like a very long time. While strong and bold political differences remain across 'party lines' in America--Saturday was a tough day for our democracy.

An attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump over the weekend has brought political leaders from all parties together to take a stand against violence.

On the heels of this intense weekend, one that we'll see in history books and remember for the rest of our lives, the GOP convention is taking place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. There, States are formally casting delegate votes for their choice in Republican nominee for the presidential ticket.

Moments before the votes came rolling in, Donald Trump announced his Vice Presidential selection: J.D. Vance-- a United States Senator from Ohio.

Minutes later, States began to cast their delegate votes. Not surprisingly, for Donald Trump.

Did you see Idaho's time to shine (and cast votes)!?

The lady that spoke for Idaho explained that we are 'rural' and elaborated that we have 'a lot of mountains and rivers'. She then began a "fight, fight, fight" chant.

Yet to take place is the Democratic National Convention, which will be on August 19th through the 22nd in Chicago, Illinois. There, Idaho will announce their support for Joe Biden.

All of this, of course, setting the nation up for a repeat Trump vs Biden election.
