Months After Warning, Big Costco Changes Hit All 7 Idaho Stores

Idaho shoppers and lovers of good deals love, more than anything, a trip to Costco. No matter how crowded or chaotic it may be, that Idahoans seem to love, it's a visit to Costco.

Idahoans all across the state flock to Costco for great deals, bulk purchases, and if you can believe it...their food court.

Yes, the food court that is famous for their $1.50 Hot Dog & Soda has a cult following and soon, that infamous staple, in particular, will see significant change.

We were warned months ago--but now, it's real and it has been officially rolled out in Idaho.

At the dawn of the announcement--the internet was up in arms over Costco's announcement coming to the food court. No, none of the major food items would be disappearing BUT--that soda fountain was about to change.

Announced during an earnings call, Costco had officially made a change at the Food Court that will give Pepsi the boot and bring Coca-Cola into the mix.

Now, the change is official and all 7 Idaho locations have seen the signage (and product) swap!

Coke has been awarded the beverage contract with Costco and those blue Pepsi cups and Pepsi drink offerings at the self-serve fountains have been revamped to display and offer those of the famous Coca-Cola brand.

For years, fans of Coke and Pepsi have beefed over which is better.

As for Costco, the decision has been made: it's Coke. For now.

Pepsi has been in Costco food courts for over a decade--expect lots of opinionated Costco members as this change is implemented!
