There is something magic in the air--and we aren't talking about the amazing weather that has suddenly taken over here in the Treasure Valley.

It's MARCH, and the 'madness' is finally here!

As it is referred to by legendary coach Mark Few, 'It's the greatest show on earth' -- of course, we're talking about March Madness and the men's & women's basketball brackets.

Special to us this year? IDAHO is represented!

Idaho Governor Brad little quickly chimed in to congratulate vandals nationwide!

Set to tip-off on Thursday from Oklahoma, the 15 seed Vandals have a DIFFICULT matchup--the University of Houston, who many believe will win the whole tournament.

We searched high and low for a celebrity bracket someplace online that picks Idaho over Houston--and even the 'underdog lovers' didn't make that pick.

With all eyes on Idaho, we know it can be done!

For programs like the University of Idaho, it takes a LOT to be a part of those conversations, however, they are guaranteed admission into the bracket under one circumstance: they win their conference tournament.

Unlike other major conferences that know their top 3, 4, or even 5 teams will have more than a decent shot at getting into the big dance, the Big Sky, barring any really special and amazing seasons from one program or another, is used to only having one representative.

For the first time in DECADES, the Idaho Vandals are that team--on both the men's side and the women's side!

Idaho takes on Houston on Thursday, March 19th at 8:10pm -- a primetime slot!

The women take on Oklahoma this Friday, also at 8:00 p.m.

V's up!

Boise State's Most Underappreciated Star

Boise State seems to mean "football" for most, right? On a national stage, after all, it's the blue turf and the success that the Broncos have had on it that made the university a household name. What happens on the hardwood, however, is far from appreciated at the level that it should be. Leon Rice came to Boise State as a blessing from one of the most powerful basketball programs in the nation: Gonzaga University. Now, the winningest basketball coach in the history of the school seems to take immediate heat if the Broncos aren't in the Final Four. Spoiled by wins on the football field, fans seem to expect the same of the basketball program but when the investment in basketball is so much less than football--can you really have these types of expectations!?
