When I was a kid, every Saturday my mom and I would go to the library. I would get more books than I could ever read and grab CD's to throw into my iTunes library. It was always a fun time and in hindsight, it was a totally beneficial experience. However I'll never forget how AWFUL the Nampa Library used to smell. I totally get that there's a new one now--but any person that hit the OLD Nampa Library downtown by the underpass will totally remember that smell. Thinking back--I remember watching people just stare into those old school computer screens that had the privacy protectors on them. Maybe now, I know what they were watching...!?

As of this week, the Governor of Idaho, Brad Little, has signed into law that pornography shall be banned from Idaho's Public Libraries.  You won't be able to access your naughty movies from any hard-wired computers, personal laptops, tablets, or smartphones via the library's wifi whatsoever.

The effort is an attempt to protect minors from the explicit content and goes into effect on July 1, 2020.

As for some rural libraries, equipment is going to need to be installed in order to block the pornographic material.
