What The Fowl: Idaho Animal Shelter Seeks Home For Unique Animal
Sometimes, there are things that are just 'SO IDAHO' we don't even know where to begin.
We'd like to introduce you to one of those things.
As shared online by a local animal shelter, a 'unique' animal has lost its way and is seeking a forever home. We've got to be honest, we've never need anything like it and haven't even heard of this 'type' of animal.
Only. In. Idaho.
As the West Valley Humane Society shared on their Facebook page:
That’s right, folks. This isn’t a typo. We have a guinea fowl available for adoption! This loud, proud little wanderer came to us as a stray (because yes, even guinea fowl like to go on unsupervised adventures). After some time with us, it’s officially ready to trade the streets for a safe, loving home. If you’ve ever thought, “You know what my life needs? More feathers and personality,” this might be your sign.
According to the shelter, there are some things that you should know about the peculiar animal:
- The guinea fowl 'walks to the beat of its own drum' -- in other words, good luck training this thing
- The guinea fowl believes that silence is optional, so get used to long conversations
- The guinea fowl keeps an eye on everything--perhaps you could have a personal spy on your hands?
- The guinea fowl keeps life interesting!
