Idaho Man Uses Dog Saliva In Teenage Sex Charge Paternity Test

Came across this little gem in East Idaho News this morning. I'm going to break this down into very simple terms here. It's a messed up story which ends up affecting a lot of people.

30-year-old Levi Baker of the Idaho Falls area was having sex (multiple times) with a 16-year-old girl. The girl ended up getting pregnant, having a baby and was soon after kicked out of her home.

At that point, the teenage girl contacted Baker, asked if she could move in with him and his girlfriend. Baker said yes. The three of them slept in the same bed and Baker continued sexual relationships with this girl who was now 17 years old.

It seems as if the sexual relationships that were going on were completely consensual but this guy's 30 and she was 16! Hello! You can't do that.

Authorities eventually got involved, found nude pictures on Baker's phone of the teenage girl and evidence about what they'd say to investigators if caught. One story they had was to tell investigators that the teenage girl had sex with Baker while he was asleep and then he'd proceed with not filing charges. Authorities didn't buy that one.

Another brilliant plan Baker had was to smoke cigarettes and rub dog saliva in his mouth just before they swabbed the inside for a paternity test with the baby. Guess what? That plan failed too. Go figure.

Baker's been sentenced to 15 years in prison with five years fixed and 10 years indeterminate for felony sexual battery by lewd or lascivious acts on a minor. Baker was also fined $2,045 and has been registered as a sex offender. He stated this in court...
