It sounds innocent enough.

Democrats and Republicans alike organized a "Meet your candidates" event in Kendrick, Idaho. Senators, house of representative members, and candidates were all invited to speak at said event.

Would you believe things quickly went south from there? Because they did.

A sitting Idaho senator had a racist outburst, then quickly exited.

A statement was released by Trish Carter-Goodheart, member of the Nez Perce tribe and running for House Seat A, stating that after showing some frustration toward her, Idaho Senator Dan Foreman shouted out the following:

I'm so sick and tired of this liberal bullshit! Why don't you go back to where you came from?

It should be pointed out that the Nez Perce tribe has been here in America for over 11,000 years.

Republican Senator Dan Foreman was born in Illinois.

Is this who we are as Idahoans? Do we scream at people we disagree with and tell them to "go back where they came from" because they look different? Because their skin is a different color?

That's not the Idaho we know and love. All are welcome here. We hope you feel the same.

Have you ever been to a silent disco before? Hanging out with a bunch of your friends (and strangers) dancing to music that isn't being played out loud?

Sure, it sounds weird, but if you're a music lover looking for an escape, they can be super fun!

Have you ever been to one?
