Boise Vape Shop ‘Up in Smoke’ After Police Bust Bongs, THC
A raid at two Boise vape shops has resulted in two arrests late last week, as Boise Police discovered more than just vapes were being sold at these locations.
Andrew Stanley, 37, of Boise and Andrew Fernandez, 35, of Boise, were both taken into custody for a combined total of 9 felonies and one misdemeanor.
Here's a closer look at what was found by police

It's interesting that many in the comments online are not impressed by the arrests
While officers certainly did nothing wrong and all charges seem, at this point, to be valid--is Idaho 'out of touch' with the preferences of its residents when it comes to the weed?
Boise Police, in a statement to the public, said:
In relation to ongoing compliance and education efforts with local vape/smoke shops, Boise Police located evidence that two local businesses on the 1700 block of W. State Street and the 6900 block of W. State Street were selling numerous items that are illegal in Idaho. Boise Police officers provided the business owner, Andrew Stanley, with multiple warnings and education about controlled substances and illegal drug paraphernalia under Idaho law with clear instructions for compliance. Despite months long efforts, the illegal sales continued. Evidence shows that Stanley and his employees, including Andrew Fernandez, were involved in the sale of large amounts of items that tested positive for THC. Evidence also shows that the business was selling glass bongs, water pipes, marijuana pipes, edibles, marijuana grinders, scales, concealment devices, dab rigs amongst many other related items.
As it turns out, officers were correct in their investigation.
Police say that when their search warrant was served on Friday, July 25th, 'thousands' of items of drug paraphernalia were found--along with trafficking amounts of marijuana and other THC containing products.
Police also said that evidence of online sales was present--and that may result in additional charges.
