Idaho’s Growth is Growing

We kind of want to keep Idaho to ourselves, right?

It's not working out.

Idaho is now the 7th fastest growing state in the U.S. This time last year, Idaho was 21st on the list.

U-Haul says that rentals increased 8% in 2016, with most newcomers relocating to Boise or Nampa.

Why are people flocking to the Gem State? Casey Jones, U-Haul Company of Idaho President, has it figured out:

What I see is a lot of people retiring to Boise for its lower cost of living. They're selling their one-bedroom home in California for $500,000 and coming here to buy a 2,500-square-foot house for $300,000.

He isn't wrong. Boise has one of the lowest costs of living in the country.
