Idaho’s Largest Summer Concert Gets ‘Booed’ by Sold-Out Crowd

Summertime in the Treasure Valley often means that it's concert season in the Treasure Valley. While we're certainly blessed to have plenty of great indoor concert venues that host live music year-round--something about summer just brings these events to life.

Many big shows have either come and gone or are set to arrive to Boise this year--and perhaps the biggest, just took place.

Sold out months in advance, country icon Chris Stapleton performed in front of a sold out crowed in Nampa, at the Ford Idaho Center. Resale tickets were going for hundreds of dollars and getting into this show was next to impossible.

We were shocked when we heard that Stapleton and his band were actually booed while on stage.

Here's a look at the online reaction to what most thought was a little bit 'much'...

What do you think about all of this commotion? 

As you can see from the original post, Stapleton went to introduce his band to the Treasure Valley--only to have one of his bandmates quite literally booed. All for being from California.

Yikes.

We spoke with several folks that were in the crowd for this show, all of whom have confirmed that the booing did in fact take place and that it was far from a pleasant feeling.

As Idaho continues to grow--this negative feeling towards new comers is only getting louder. So long as these new comers and good, kind, and decent people--we really see no reason to boo them.

A touring pianist, on stage, at the summer's largest show? He DEFINITELY doesn't need to be booed and we hope that the band will forgive Idaho and come back soon.
