Idaho’s Most Recognizable Employee Only Makes $11.54 Per Hour
The discussion of "pay" in and around the workplace is always a little "weird". So often it seems employees feel unable to ask for a raise yet there's always a competitiveness around making sure that your pay is even with your colleagues. Some workplaces publicize everyones pay, to be transparent. Others give everyone a raise together so that the bar is always even.
If you're a State of Idaho employee, however, you have no privacy. Anyone can lookup your pay rate--and so, out of curiosity--we did just that.
Over the last few weeks here in the State of Idaho, ONE employee has really stood out.
He has made national headlines, he's "saved" a whole lot, and he is no stranger to the State of Idaho, either. In fact, he's kind of a big deal.
You guessed it, we're talking about Dirk Koetter

So, what's this guy worth?
According to the State of Idaho's "Transparent Idaho" platform, he's only making $11.54 an hour.
We're talking about the guy that has turned around a Boise State offense during what is easily the most tumultuous season in memorable history.
Tell us that this website is wrong--please. Koetter has only been the Offensive Coordinator for a few days now, so perhaps the data just hasn't been updated. The site also shows that former Offensive Coordinator, Tim Plough, was making over $124.00 an hour.
Can fans expect Koetter to take on that salary? Remember--he claims he will only be doing this until the end of the season.
