It's the kind of story that you hate to see in the Treasure Valley. One person decides to go and steal from a local business. In a place as safe and friendly as Boise--there's no excuse for this.

With cameras everywhere these days, nobody is shocked to learn that there is indeed footage of the latest theft that folks are talking about on the Boise internet--from beloved Tates Rents!

Take a look at the local theft that has Idaho talking!

Tates Rents has been a long time local business here in the Treasure Valley and they certainly don't deserve this kind of theft!

People are frustrated to see these kinds of things going on and together, we can keep our eyes peeled to try and find this thief! Or, perhaps, he could turn himself in!

Tates Rents posted to their Facebook page with the following update:

Last night (June 9th) at around 11:40pm, some brilliant criminal masterminds decided it was a good idea to steal a welding unit right off one of our trucks at our Tates Rents Meridian location. Caught on camera? Yup. Inconspicuous vehicle? Not even close.

Admittedly, their post was a little funny and sarcastic--but there's also a reward!

We’re offering a $1,000 reward to the first person who provides specific information leading directly to the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible for this theft. Tips must be verifiable and lead to both an arrest and a conviction, confirmed by the Meridian PD to qualify.

Do you have any information on who may have stolen this welding unit? Contact your local authorities and Tates Rents!

Boise Neighborhood Experiences Croc Theft

What is going on here, Boise? A recent online thread has brought to light a local "porch pirate" and it isn't your "conventional" situation. We see this a lot, unfortunately-- especially around the holidays. Folks pull up to a home with packages outside, steal the packages and run or speed off.

This time, that isn't the case.

A local porch pirate didn't even need to take a chance on the package because what they stole wasn't boxed up...it was just, there. One single pair of Crocs. REALLY!?
