Is Alan Mr. Right? Vote Now.

We're searching the Treasure Valley for the ultimate Mr. Right. The true Mr. Right will be revealed on Friday but we need your help letting us know if this is the one. 

Here's a little bit about Alan:

Height: 5'10"

Profession: Instrumentation and Controls Engineer

On a day off, what would you choose to do? On a day with no work and no chores, I find myself listening to music or, if weather permits, having fun on two wheels. I enjoy riding my mountain bike (I had worked in a bike shop while going to college, so that's been ingrained in me) or my motorcycle. Sometimes a different type of adrenaline rush is needed, I suppose. A day off also gives me a chance to cook a dinner and, even better, a breakfast that may or may not be slightly too large.

I also spend time with my brother. We spent a large amount of time apart from each other and we're, in my opinion, getting our relationship back to the way it was when we were younger!

Greatest Achievement: I graduated from two colleges with two degrees (Bachelor of Science & Bachelor of Arts), three majors (electrical engineering, physics, and music) and one minor (systems engineering). During this time I supported myself through academic and music scholarships, part time work, and music gigs on the side. It also gave me an opportunity to see new parts of the country and meet very different people. That type of experience would be extremely difficult to replicate.

Favorite music/artist: It depends on the mood, but swings between rock (more indie side, but that's not very strict!) and the romantic era of music (Beethoven, Dvorak, Sibelius, Chopin, etc.).

What can't you live without: A goal. I drive myself to accomplish and I like to keep that feeling going. The goal may be small (e.g. do laundry!) or large, but working towards something is important.

If you could be someone else for a day, who would it be: Nikola Tesla. The main was a brilliant electrical engineer and invented many things that we use today. He also loved a pigeon. What more could you want in a person?

What's your go-to place in the Treasure Valley: Due to winter, the Space Bar or Woodland Empire.

On the weekends, where would we find you? By the time I'm finished with work, I normally want to relax. Right now, that normally means a beer with my brother at the above places. Darts may or may not also be involved.
