The smell of a Christmas Tree is so pleasant, I can't help but immediately go back to my favorite childhood holiday moments every time that magical scent hits. Douglas fir, Noble Fir or White Pine a real Christmas tree turns any house into a home. Can you imagine a Christmas without one? If you don't have yours yet, you might go without one this year. We can't confirm if there is a Christmas Tree shortage in the Treasure Valley or if the demand is so great that the supply is simply not enough.

The majority of Christmas tree lots in the Treasure Valley are experiencing record sales and some are sold out of trees 2 weeks before the big day. In an interview with ktvb the owner of Jordan’s Pumpkin Patch and Christmas Tree Lot, Jordan Risch said:

"More than ever it's people coming out earlier. I got calls two weeks before Thanksgiving, which is crazy, I have never gotten calls that early,” Risch added. “We are going to run out of trees this year.”

When asked why the overwhelming demand this year Risch commented:

“People were ready to come out and celebrate Christmas, I think especially this year, they’re just looking for a reason to celebrate, and have a little bit of normalcy back in our lives”.
