Diver Videos Show What’s Really Hidden Under Idaho’s Dierkes Lake
Dierkes Lake in Twin Falls, Idaho, has always seemed like a murky lake with far too many geese, but this year has been different.
We love fishing at Dierkes and we’ve noticed this year that the water is clearer and the last few weeks there has only been one goose hanging around the dock area. Granted, we aren’t there all the time, but there’s definitely less goose poop than normal in the grass and on the dock..
Dierkes Lake in Twin Falls, ID Has Interesting Things For Scuba Divers
The clearer water has been great for swimmers and probably a dream for scuba divers. The lake is a popular location for dive training and there are a few items scattered around the bottom of the lake for divers to find. Divers have also found loads of lost items like goggles, phones, watches, and shoes.
Among the permanent hidden dive items are a snowman, a big metal table, a boat, a hula hoop, and a fake fish. I’ve heard there was a car and a treasure chest somewhere on the bottom of the lake, but couldn’t verify that or find it in any videos.

This video is probably the best at showing the variety of items for scuba divers to find. The snowman makes an appearance 2 minutes into this video.
You can see the hula hoop around 2:30 in this video.
You get a good look at the big metal table, the white buoy in Dierkes is attached to it, in this video.
Since the area where the lake is now used to be an orchard, there are also still remnants of trees along the bottom. That’s probably what I keep losing my fishing hooks on.
You can see more of the things hiding and lurking in the waters of Dierkes Lake on the Scuba Idaho YouTube channel and from James Ruhter on Reels.
