The Jonas Brother's kicked off their "Remember This Tour" in Las Vegas on Friday, August 20. With COVID-19 numbers climbing across the United States, the family has decided to put additional safety requirements in place just seven days into the tour.

On Monday night, the Jonas Brothers shared a tour update on their Instagram account. According to their post, every date on the Remember This Tour will now require proof of a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours of the concert or proof of vaccination for entry for every show on the tour beginning on August 27. That would include their show at the Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater on Thursday, September 2.

The band explains that after careful consideration this is the best decision they can make for their fans, crew and communities they're visiting. While they don't mention it in the announcement, both Kevin and Joe are parents to children who are under the age of 12 and are not yet eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

The post goes on to say that ticket holders can expect to receive an update about the requirement via e-mail and find more information on the venue's website. We purchased tickets during the pre-sale and received the e-mail this morning.  The update reads:

"In attending the event you certify and attest that you and all individuals in your party attending the event will follow the below regulations:

  • All fans will provide printed proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72-hours prior to entering the venue, OR will be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (at least two weeks after final dose) at the time of the event and provide proof of vaccination - either the original vaccination card or a printed copy of the vaccination card with an appropriate ID matching the name on your documentation.
  • Unvaccinated fans under 12 years of age will be required to take a COVID-19 diagnostic test within 72-hours before the event and will provide proof of negative result prior to entering the venue.
  • Unvaccinated fans over 12 years old with a valid medical restriction & medical note will be required to take a COVID-19 diagnostic test within 72-hours before the event and will provide proof of negative result prior to entering the venue."

The Jonas Brothers are the second artist to make this request at the Ford Idaho Center. Louis the Child, who's performing at the venue on September 9, made a similar request last week.

At this point, the Jonas Brothers show is nine days away. Unfortunately, that leaves you high in dry if their requirement was enough to make you consider getting vaccinated if you haven't yet done so. Even if you're receiving the single shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine, you're not considered fully vaccinated until 14 days after you receive the shot.
