I'm such a sucker for animals.  (Hell, I wanted to be a vet before I realized that I couldn't possibly endure more than four years of college.)  I'm so thankful for two 12-year-old Kuna girls and Detective Marc Bowman who saved this giant bunny!

As temps rose into the upper 80s on Monday afternoon, the two girls heard strange noises coming from a trash can near Kuna Middle school.  When they looked inside, they found this giant bunny and went to get help from the Kuna Police Station.

When detective Bowman rescued the bunny from the trash can, it was panting really hard and was overheated from the sun striking the metal trash can.  He offered it water from his hands and when the bunny didn't think twice, he realized that it was likely someone's pet that had put in the trash can and abandoned by it's owners.

The Idaho Humane Society picked him up and determined that other than being a little warm from the incident, the bunny was in good health and will likely be adopted!

Hopefully this cute little guy gets a great fur-ever home!
