Several weeks ago, the City of Boise sent out a cry for help: they were looking for art!

Boise, an overall very artsy place, was seeking help in designing a brand new flag to be used, officially, by the city.

We have to assume that designs came in from all corners of the Treasure Valley--with all sorts of interpretations that met the flag creation criteria.

Now, the City of Boise has shared FOUR finalists that the city can vote on...it's causing quite the polarizing discussion online.

It seems that so far...the internet isn't having them. Any of them. 

Everything from laughing emojis to 'terrible', bummed to 'try again' is online and to be completely honest, we've yet to see anyone speak favorably of these designs.

On the ballot, the City of Boise shared the following:

The City of Boise is selecting a new city flag — and we’re in the final phase. After gathering community input and narrowing down the designs, it’s time to choose the one that best represents Boise’s values, culture, and identity.  This final vote uses ranked-choice voting, which means you'll rank the flag designs in order of preference. Your voice will help shape a symbol that represents all of us.
