Lucky’s Charity Spotlight

Tis the season for giving! The holiday season is a time for giving, and charities local to Idaho are always grateful for the support that Idahoans offer. One foundation in particular that stands out in our community is Expedition Inspiration Fund for Breast Cancer (EI).

Expedition Inspiration is a local breast cancer nonprofit based out of Sun Valley, ID that has recently relocated to Boise! Laura Evans founded this organization in 1995 while she was enduring treatment to fight Stage III breast cancer. During her treatment, she dreamed of combining her passion for mountain climbing and her battle with breast cancer.

"She imagined a team of breast cancer survivors and their supporters overcoming the challenges of mountain climbing together to bring awareness and financial support to finding a cure for breast cancer. It would be a visible tribute to the courage of breast cancer survivors everywhere. To Laura, there was no more appropriate parallel between summiting one of the world's tallest peaks and fighting breast cancer." -Expedition Inspiration

Expedition Inspiration has a few events coming up in 2018, including their Be Inspired Dinner on February 10th at the Steuckle Sky Center.
